We're learning (not really learning since all of us already know most of the things) about WW2 in History class and we reached the part when we talk about the concentration camps. Our teacher began explaining how they worked and when she starts talking about the ovens that the nazis used to get rid of the bodies and shows us some of the pictures, the guy behind me whispers "I love me some roasted Jews, you can't even taste the Zyklon B on this one" I couldn't not find that funny. I have a really dark sense of humor, so I always laugh at jokes about the holocaust and other tragic events like it, but this was definitely not the time and place to laugh. It started with a giggle, but it expanded into full-scale laughter in a matter of seconds. The class stopped, everyone was facing me with a horrified look on their faces, including my teacher. When I could finally get a hold of myself I immediately apologized, but the damage was already done. We then resumed the class, but the tension was really thick and I don't think it'll get better, at least until we finish talking about WW2
